Iowa–Grant/Highland junior Andrew Winders won his first individual conference title at 138 pounds at Saturday's SWC/SWAL Clash at Mineral Point.

MINERAL POINT — Belmont/Platteville senior Will Schaefer won the 182-pound title for his second career conference title at the 33rd annual SWC/SWAL Clash hosted by Mineral Point High School on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Iowa–Grant/Highland junior Andrew Winders won his first at 138 pounds to lead the shorthanded Panthers to an eight-place finish with 127 team points. 

The Braves tied for 10th overall as a team at the 13-team tournament with 116 points after placing seven of their 11 wrestlers in their respective weight classes.

Prairie du Chien crowned six champions on the day to capture the team title for the first time in the 33-year history of the Clash with 272.5 points. Host Mineral Point was runner-up with 249.5 points, while five-time defending champion Fennimore finished third with 239 points. The Eagles were without five regulars on Saturday.
