LANCASTER – A loss to visiting Platteville last Thursday night, followed by a win over visiting River Valley on Saturday, has the Lancaster varsity girls basketball team sitting with a Southwest Wisconsin Conference record of 2-6.

The Flying Arrows entered the week tied for fourth in the league standings with only two games remaining against Dodgeville (Feb. 14), and River Valley (Feb. 20).

Last Thursday night against the league-leading Hillmen, coach Uppena’s squad got off to a great start against the top-ranked D3 team in the state, but in the end Platteville had too much firepower, especially in the paint.
