LAKE MILLS — A basketball game between the first- and third-ranked teams in an enrollment class should be a tight game.

And Saturday afternoon’s Platteville–Lake Mills game was tight. For about six minutes.

If there were any questions whether the Hillmen deserve to be number one in Division 3, those questions were emphatically answered in the Hillmen’s 78–43 dismantling of the previously undefeated L-Cats.

Platteville coach Mike Foley said after the game, “We came to play today,” and that was an inarguable statement.
