WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Platteville/Belmont/Lancaster gymnastics team closed out the season Friday and Saturday at the WIAA State Championships in Wisconsin Rapids for a third straight year.

Friday, the Hillmen posted a scored of 126.551 to place ninth out of 10 teams in the Division 2 Team State Championships.

The Platteville co-op reached the team state championships for a third straight year and a 10th time in 11 seasons after upseting SWC champion Dodgeville/Mineral Point — which beat the Hillmen both during a regular season dual and at the SWC Championships this year — to place second at the D2 Platteville Sectional earning a state berth.
