Platteville girls improve to 8–0 with four wins in seven days

The top-ranked Platteville girls continued to impress with four more victories in a seven-day span over the past week.

The Hillmen improved to 8–0 on the season with a 74–37 non-conference victory over Wisconsin Heights Monday night at PHS.

Senior guard Becca Hoyer scored a game-high 18 points on an efficient 9 of 13 shooting to go along with five rebounds, and three steals. Freshman Camryn Nies buried three 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 14 points in just her eighth varsity guard. Her older sister, senior guard Josie Nies, added 11 points and seven assists. 

Fellow senior Sami Martin added 10 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals in the win. Classmate Izzy Carroll added six points and nine rebounds.

The latest blowout victory came on the heels of a dominating 53–33 non-conference victory over Dubuque Senior at Saturday’s Wendy’s/MidWestOne Classic at Loras College in Dubuque.
