Stan and Janita Ewing, Platteville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27. Stan and the former Janita Peckham were married on June 27, 1964 at the Richland Center Church of the Nazarene in Richland Center.
They have five children,  Dan (Lori) Ewing, East Peoria, Ill., Dean (Mary) Ewing,  Gainesville, Fla., Sue (Mark) Atherton, Xenia, Ohio, Sheila (Joel) Johnson, Darlington, and Sheryl (John) Tharman,  Woodruff. They have 15 grandchildren.
Prior to retirement, Stan taught math at Platteville High School and the University of Wisconsin–Platteville. Stan and Janita are active members at the Platteville Free Methodist Church. The Ewings will be celebrating with their family over the Fourth of July weekend.
