Ruth and Larry French of Bloomington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 7.
Larry French and the former Ruth Check were married on Nov. 7, 1964 at St. Johns in Prairie du Chien.
The couple has two children:  Paula French (Mark Hazen) of Cottage Grove and Tonya Thompson of DeForest. They also have three granddaughters, Bethany, Calista and Sydney Thompson. They have one grandson, Jacob Hazen.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with family and friends at a gathering in November.
