AARP Tax-Aide program in Platteville, Lancaster, Boscobel

The AARP Tax-Aide Program will be available at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville, the Center on Aging in Lancaster, and the Tuffley Center in Boscobel Feb. 4–April 1.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 723-6113.

Taxes will be done in Platteville Mondays Feb. 4–April 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Taxes will be done in Lancaster Tuesday, Feb. 12 and 26 and March 12 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and in Boscobel Wednesdays Feb. 19–March 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tax-Aide is sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service and the AARP Foundation to assist Wisconsin residents prepare their U.S. and state Homestead tax forms.

Individuals with complex forms such as business, farmers, investors in limited partnerships and married individuals filing separately do not qualify for Tax-Aide assistance. Those individuals are urged to seek professional tax preparation assistance.

If the requirements of an applicant are beyond the scope of Tax-Aide training, the applicant will be referred elsewhere.
