BOSCOBEL - The Boscobel Housing Authority (BHA) has completed a $1.1 renovation project at Briarwood Apartments at 602 West Bluff Street in Boscobel. This project was made possible with a loan through USDA Rural Development.

Project improvements include new cabinets, appliances, flooring, windows, doors, bathrooms, all with enhanced handicap accessibility, including three of the units being 100 percent handicap accessible.  Security and safety improvements include a new 24/7 monitored fire alarm system and a camera security system.

The BHA was able to receive Focus on Energy rebates in the amount of nearly $13,000 for insulation and electrical upgrades, which will benefit tenants for years to come.

This project was managed in a very professional manner by Midwest Builders, with all workmanship, tenant transitions, and COVID protocols exceeding expectations.

Hirsch Group Architecture and Rural Development Staff also assisted with this project.  The BHA would also acknowledge  their tenants and their families for their cooperation and patience during the remodel.
