Learn about UW-Stouts Idea to Prototype program at I&E Club meeting

Do you have a great idea?  Are you ready to show potential investors?

At the July 8 meeting of the Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, join Renee Surdick and Terese Wentworth from the University of Wisconsin-Stout’s Center for Innovation and Development to hear about what services are available there, including a new program called “Idea to Prototype.”

Learn how the FAB LAB can help you with market research, design, prototyping, intellectual property protection, and business planning.  Have your idea vetted by business and industry professionals and see your idea move forward by receiving expert advice.  If you have a model of your product or idea, bring it along.

The meeting will be held at the Food Enterprise Center, 1201 North Main St., Viroqua. Networking starts at 5:30 p.m, the program begins at 6 p.m.

The meetings are free and no reservations are required. Whether you have an idea or just like to think business, join in for a dynamic evening of networking with lots of creative people. Everyone is welcome.

The I&E club is organized jointly by the Crawford County Economic Development Corporation, Vernon Economic Development Association and Viroqua Chamber Main Street.

Brisbois reflects on economic 2024

Grant County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Ron Brisbois reflected on his 25th year in the job Dec. 4 after the annual meeting of the corporation. Brisbois compared 2024 to his previous 24 years, as well as looked into what the future holds for the region.
