The Sisters Tailoring for Tots are at it again for the fourth consecutive year,
Like the previous three years, dolls with handmade doll outfits made by the “Sisters” and other toys have been donated to various groups in the area for children in need.
And they had a few “Santas” help out with their cause.
One of sisters, Sue Cole, said that “We don’t ask for donations, but we always appreciate them.”
This year, the Walmarts of Platteville and Dodgeville made “kind contribution towards the effort this year,” according to Sue.
The Sisters also received financial donors from the Fennimore, Verona, and Middleton areas that wished to remain anonymous.
They donated dolls and toys out to Iowa, Grant, Dane, Sauk counties, as well as the UW Cancer Hospital in Milwaukee, UW Ronald McDonald Hospital in Milwaukee, and the UW Childrens Hospital in Madison.
In total, they gave out around 40 dolls, 10 matchbox car mats, and 10 coloring bags to each county.
“We have so much fun doing it, Cole went on to say. “These gracious donations allow us to sew outfits for the dolls and the other toys for boys and girls.””They help us purchase dolls and the all the other toys that assist us in keeping this event alive.”
“It just brings us so much joy, and we are happy to be able to provide these wonderful gifts.”

Sue closed with the line she closed with in last year’s article on the Sisters Tailoring For Tots, “Our plan is to keep going until we can’t anymore. We’re retired and have nothing better to do.”
