CUBA CITY—The Cuba City Common Council voted Wednesday, Aug. 20, to ask the public through a referendum if they would financially support the construction of a community center.

The advisory referendum will take place at the Nov. 4 general election. The community center is estimated to cost $2.3 million for construction and the first three years’ operating expenses. The community center committee has already raised $728,000. The referendum would ask for $1.8 million.
