One former Tomah resident and one Tomah resident who face burglary and theft charges in Vernon County have also been charged with three felony drug possession counts in Juneau County.

Katie Wood, 25, now of Mauston, and Randy Harmel, 35, are both charged with two counts of possession of narcotic drugs, one count of possession of THC, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint, the Juneau County START team executed a search warrant on Feb. 19 for a room at the Alaskan Motel in Mauston with Wood and Harmel present. Law enforcement discovered various items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and narcotics.

Wood and Harmel were arrested that day for a burglary at a residence on Co. Road SS in Viroqua when the homeowner was gone.  Items found in their motel room came from that residence.

An initial appearance has been scheduled for both Wood and Harmel on May 4.
