Cover crop field day features soil health expert

TWO COVER CROP FIELD DAYS will be held, fea-turing nationally known Soil Health expert Jay Fuhrer. Local farmers will share what they are doing and what they have learned. The first event is on Friday evening, May 19th at the Ark Center (401 E. Jefferson Street, Viro-qua) from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. The second is Satur-day, May 20th at the Mt. Sterling Park Shelter (Hwy 27 and 2nd St.) from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Both events are free and include a meal.

Two exciting Cover Crop Field days will be held featuring nationally known Soil Health expert Jay Fuhrer! Local farmers will share what they are doing and what they have learned.

These events will cover many topics focused on building and improving your farm’s soil. Featured topics include managing cover crops, different cover crop termination options, using grazing and livestock to improve your soil, and understanding more about the life in your soil.

Rainfall simulator and the new Roller-Crimper will be on demonstration. The first event is on Friday evening, May 19th at the Ark Center (401 E. Jefferson Street, Viroqua) from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. 

The second is Saturday, May 20th at the Mt. Sterling Park Shelter (Hwy 27 and 2nd St.) from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Both events are free and include a meal. 

You may attend either event, or both, but you will get more from our guest speaker if you are able to attend both. Crop consultants will earn CEU credits.
