Boscobel High School is celebrating Homecoming this week with a variety of student and community activities. Monday was Costume Day, followed by Retro/Old Fart Day on Tuesday, Bling Bling Day on Wednesday, Mismatch Day on Thursday and Red/White Day on Friday.

Sand Volleyball and Powder Puff Football were played Monday night following the junior high football game. A bonfire and pep rally will be held tonight (Thursday) following the volleyball game against Southwestern. There will be a pep rally Friday afternoon, followed by the Homecoming parade through downtown Boscobel at approximately 2:30 p.m., at which time Mr. & Mrs. Bulldog will be introduced. The Bulldogs will face off against the Southwestern Wildcats in the Homecoming football game Friday beginning at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the Sophomore Class will be hosting the annual Homecoming Dance at the Boscobel High School Gym from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m.  Boscobel students, grades 9 through 12, are invited to participate in this event.  This year’s Homecoming dance theme is "A Night Under the Stars.”

Admission for Boscobel students attending the dance is $5 per student.  Students will need to be dressed in causal formal attire for the evening.  Boscobel has a closed door policy; if students leave the building, they will not be permitted to return to the dance.

Spectators are welcomed to attend the Homecoming Grand March, which will be held at 9:30 p.m.  The admission fee for spectators is $3 per person.  BHS students will not be admitted as spectators. Andy Jones of DJ JuiceMC will be providing the music for this year’s event.

Photos will be taken by Penny Leeser of Penny's 1-Hour Photo; picture order forms can be picked up by students at the Boscobel High School office throughout the week prior to the dance.
