Belmont FFA Plant Sale
BELMONT – The Belmont FFA Plant Sale is held every Saturday in May from 8 a.m. until noon at the FFA greenhouse behind the school, next to the football/baseball fields. 10” hanging baskets - $15, Geraniums & 4” pots - $3.20, 4 packs - $1.75, 4” petunia pots - $1. Check out geraniums, calibrachoa “million bells”, impatiens, verbena, petunias “wave”, zinnias, begonias, marigolds and pansies. All proceeds go to the Belmont FFA.

Chamber/Main Street
DARLINGTON – The Darlington Chamber/Main Street would like to invite everyone to participate in the Memorial Day Parade. Wear your red, white and blue in honor of our veterans. Decorate your bikes, wagons, and strollers and meet at the Courthouse on Monday, May 29 at 9:15 a.m.
Lafayette Co. Historical Society Open House
DARLINGTON – Following the parade and program at Veterans Park on Monday, May 29, the Lafayette County Historical Society Museum will be open to the public until 4:00 p.m. Stop by and see the current exhibits. There is no admission fee. Light refreshments will be served.
Community Blood Drive
SOUTH WAYNE - The American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to resolve to give blood regularly. Sixteen year olds are accepted with parental consent. New donors must bring a photo ID and another form of ID. Darlington Food Pantry
DARLINGTON – The monthly Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will take place on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4-5 p.m. at the lower level of Town Bank.  There is no income eligibility limits for people wishing to participate. Volunteers are needed from 3 pm to 6 pm. Volunteers can help with all or any part of the hours of the pantry. To volunteer, you can contact Carrie at 608-293-0791 or simply come to the pantry and register as a volunteer that day.
Relic Roundup Open House
DARLINGTON –Join experienced arrowhead and projectile collectors to as they show and discuss items they have found in Lafayette County and the area on June 7 at 7 p.m. at the Town Bank Community Room in Darlington. Lafayette County has been historically significant for finding ancient treasures. Bob Steger and Dennis Fox will be there. They are both inviting their friends. Dennis will be bringing some clovis points, the oldest known arrowheads, as well as his large collection. Did you inherit your grandfather’s arrowhead collection? Bring it along and have the experts give you information about it.  There is no charge for any Bluebird Nest Nature Center programs. Last year, we could not fit all of the folks who were interested in this subject into the nature center, so we have expanded this year. Please join us.
Women’s Guild of Immanuel Church
DARLINGTON – The Women’s Guild of Immanuel Church will be meeting on Thursday, June 8th at 12noon. The program will be Tammy Leu Schute telling about her trip to Switzerland. Committee for the day will be Diane Ritchie, Chair; Julie Hinderman, Co-chair; Peggy Rolli, Suzanne Marx, Amy Prine, Nikki Martin, Missy Rankin, Nicole Lewin and Mary Geissbuhler. Everyone is always welcome.
Open house at the nature center
DARLINGTON – Stop and see some beautiful artwork by Mrs. Tuescher-Crist’s 5th grade art students on June 10 from 1-4 p.m. for the Bluebird Nest Nature Center open house. Enjoy our new displays about Birds of the World. Have some popcorn.

UCC Vacation Bible School
DARLINGTON – Summer will soon be upon us so, mark your calendars for this years Vacation Bible School (VBS).  Go Fish’s VICTORY is the theme.  The dates for the program are Monday, June 12th thru Friday, June 16th.  We begin with a light supper Monday thru Thursday evening and end on Friday with a potluck and program.  Start time is 5:15-8:00 p.m.  All children who have completed 4K thru completed 5th grade are welcome and there is no charge.  This years VBS will be held at Immanuel United Church of Christ at 339 E. Louisa St. in Darlington.  Pre-registration is appreciated but you can also register on the 12th.  This is an ecumenical event.  The sponsoring churches are:  First Baptist, Grace Lutheran, Immanuel United Church of Christ, Our Lady of Fatima/Holy Rosary, and United Methodist.

Depot Museum Summer Hours
DARLINGTON – The Depot Museum and Annex, South Washington Street, Darlington, will be open during the summer months (June, July and August) weekends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tourist information and Railroad Exhibits are featured in the Depot. Items from businesses, farms and home are exhibited in the attached Annex. Admission is free. Donations are accepted but not required. Enjoy ice cream at the Ice Cream Kastle after your tour.
Relay for Life
DARLINGTON – The 2017 Relay for Life Lafayette County Cancer Walk will be Saturday, June 17 from 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at Collin’s Park in Darlington. Lafayette County’s 2017 Chairperson is Tonya Milz. At 9:00 p.m., at Collins Park in Darlington, candles will be lit in memory and in honor of the hundreds of loved ones affected by cancer.
Photographing Birds Update with Patrick Ready
DARLINGTON – Patrick Ready is the President of the Bluebird Restoration Association of Wisconsin and an avid bird photographer. He will be giving an update on the latest in nature photography on June 19 starting at 7 p.m. Bring your cameras and questions and enjoy some beautiful bird photography.
