In addition to the mayoral race, Fennimore voters will also be able to cast votes for city council, school board, and Grant County Supervisor, on Tuesday, April 7.

Seeking reelection for two-year terms in 2026 are city council members Jonah Roth, 1st Ward; Sarah Kretchman, 2nd Ward; Marc Chiefari, 3rd Ward; and Pete Adam, 4th Ward. Chiefari is running as a registered write-in candidate.

All are running unopposed as no other potential candidates filed paperwork to appear on the April ballot.

It’s the same story for the School Board of Fennimore Community Schools as all three members up for reelection for three-year terms this spring, Sheila Ruchti, Herman Maier, and Matt Rutkowski, are running unopposed.

JoAnn Wiederholt is running as a registered write-in candidate for the Grant County Supervisor District 7 position, covering the City of Fennimore and Town of Fennimore - Ward 1. The position is currently vacant as former supervisor Adam Day recently resigned.

Key dates until the April 7 election:

•In-person voter registration available through April 3.

•Request absentee ballots by April 2.

•In-person absentee voting began on March 24.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on April 7, and this election, Badger Books will be utilized in the City of Fennimore. A Badger Book works the same as the paper poll books. They are used to check in voters, process Election Day registrations, and record absentee ballot participation.

The city has made Facebook posts and the Fennimore Times published an article in the March 5 edition and there are  Badger Books set up at the city office in case residents have questions or want to see them in person.

Voters can check voter registration, request an absentee ballot, and view a sample ballot at MyVote.WI.gov.
