Speakers highlight challenges of SNAP benefit interruption
SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN – Representatives of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southwest Wisconsin, Couleecap, and Vernon County food pantries like Living Faith and Bethel Buttik, spoke at a press conference called by 96th State Assembly Representative Tara Johnson last Friday. Their topic was the interruption of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Pro-gram (SNAP) funding, scheduled to go into effect the next day on Saturday, November 1.
