Iowa man injured in cycle crash near De Soto

Jeremiah Joseph Reed Bagent, 30, of Dubuque, Iowa suffered non-life-threatening injuries Sept. 27 when his motorcycle struck a guardrail on Hwy. 82 east of De Soto.

A 30-year-old Dubuque, Iowa, man was injured Sept. 27 when his motorcycle struck a guard rail on Hwy. 82 east of De Soto.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, at 3:30 p.m., Jeremiah Joseph Reed Bagent was cycling  westbound when he lost control while negotiating a curve to the left. The cycle struck a guardrail.

Bagent, who was wearing a helmet, sustained non-life threatening injuries and refused transport to the hospital.

The Wheatland Fire Department and First Responders and Tri-State Ambulance assisted at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
