Rural Genoa men hurt in two-vehicle crash

Two rural Genoa men were injured April 20 in  a two-vehicle collision.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Kyle Strand, 28, was driving a vehicle westbound on Witcraft Ridge Road when he collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by Donald Oliver, 58.

Both Strand and Oliver, who were wearing seatbelts, were transported to Gundersen Health System, in La Crosse with non-life threatening injuries.  Both vehicles sustained severe damage and the airbags were deployed in both vehicles.

Assisting at the scene were the Genoa Fire Department and Genoa First Responders.

The accident remains under investigation.
