For the first time in more than 50 years, Pioneer Ford Sales, Ltd. in Platteville will have a new address. The auto dealership will be moving from its current location at the corner of Pine Street and Water Street to 1035 East Business Highway 151 (at Phillips Road).
According to Tim Boldt, owner of Pioneer Ford Sales, Ltd., they hope to be operational at the new location in the late spring or early summer of 2012. He noted there will be a larger fleet of vehicles for sale at the new location and additional employees will be hired.
"We are excited to celebrate our 50th anniversary year with a new facility that will better serve our customers and our employees," said Boldt.
The future use of Pioneer Ford's current location is not known at this time.
Pioneer Ford was established at the corner of Pine Street and Water Street on Jan. 2, 1962. Tim's grandfather, Wilson Boldt, along with four partners, began the business.
