The Water Street Pub & Eatery and Brewster House in Shullsburg opened their doors back up after being closed for a couple of months. The buildings, after being remodeled, are now connected and able to go from one restaurant to the other from the inside.
The Water Street Pub & Eatery is co-owned by Jack McCoy and DiAnn Blankenheim, but The Brewster House is still owned by Shullsburg Cheese and is just being leased by Jack and DiAnn. DiAnn also happens to be the owner of Red’s Supper Club. She and McCoy are cousins; that is why she has decided to come to Shullsburg and invest in the town.
The bar has added hard liquor to the previous wine and beer, so any drink can be made. The menus are shared between both restaurants but they are in the process of changing them up to a new fresh menu. They hope to be expanding the menu to have some steak dinners, shrimp dinners, chicken dinners and possibly cod dinners. The two seasoned chefs are willing to create a unique dining experience for everyone.
The Brewster House is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The Water Street Pub & Eatery is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to closing, on Friday to Sunday, which could be anytime. DiAnn stated that if people were in the building, they would stay open.
Their hope is to have a Grand Re-Opening in mid-October
