Citizen of the Year Nomination
There is a young man in our community that represents what a citizen of Boscobel should be with his simple dedication to our community. His name is Todd Bell. Todd is a graduate of Boscobel High School, volunteers to help our high school football team and is instrumental in our youth wrestling team.
Todd is married to Brooke McClimans and together they have raised three children: Hailey, Randa, and TJ, who are also graduates of Boscobel High. Brooke works for Gundersen Lutheran Hospital here in Boscobel. Todd works alongside his mother Pat Bell at Pat & Greg’s Pour House.
There isn’t a fund raiser that Todd doesn’t give his whole heart to from raising money for the Boscobel Athletic Boosters, Boscobel Fire Department and Boscobel Community Empty Stocking, just to name a few. If Todd isn’t spearheading the fund raiser, he is behind the scenes doing what he can: Selling raffle tickets for any organization that asks him and never turning down anyone who needs a donation for their event. Todd has offered Pat & Greg’s to be a starting and or ending point for many ATV Memorial Rides in honor of individuals who have lost their lives way to early. These rides help support families and create scholarships in the individual’s names, which in turn help other graduating students.
Organizations only have to contact Todd for help and if able, he will be there to do what he can. One example that comes to mind is when an email was sent out to the Boscobel School staff in regards to finding popcorn for the concession stand for an event that was taking place within hours. The first person that was suggested was to reach out to Todd Bell. If he didn’t have any, he would know how to get some in short notice. Todd not only had some but gave an entire case to the school with no charge. This gesture may seem small to most people, but to the student council it meant they would be able to support an event they were going to host for the students at the school.
Supporting our young people through the youth wrestling program is something Todd has really dedicated his time to. Working all day then going to the school to help so many young men and women learn to become wrestlers is a sight to see. The kids listen, learn and enjoy Todd being one of their coaches. He also attends all home and away games, sitting up in the booth helping the football coaches with play making and added advice to make the game a great experience for the players.
