Two-vehicle crash on Co. D results in injuries

A two-vehicle crash on Co. D resulted in apparent non-life-threatening injuries to two La Crosse men, Sept. 24.

David Pickett, 54, and Larry Sebranek, 69, were both taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua by La Farge Ambulance after the accident, which occurred approximately three miles south of Cashton in Clinton township.

At 12:08 p.m., the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua was notified by phone call of the crash.

The accident occurred when Pickett’s northbound vehicle rear ended Sebranek’s vehicle, which was also northbound.

Sebranek’s vehicle went across the road, up an embankment and overturned.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Cashton First Responders, Cashton Fire Department and La Farge Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation.
