Betty Jane Place, at the age of 84, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at the Gray’s Nursing Home in Platteville, where she was also under the care of the Grant County Hospice. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort, with Pastor Barbara Cook officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date in the Lima-Union Cemetery in Lima Township, Grant Co.
