Billy Max Bumgardner, 85, of Platteville, died on Saturday, Dec. 24, at his home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Platteville. Rev. Catherine Carlson will officiate. Chapel Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274. Following the service, Bill’s body will be donated to the UW-Madison Anatomy Department per his personal wishes. Friends called from 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Bill M.
