Douglas E. Payne, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, leaving behind a life full of dedication, creativity, and quiet adventure. Born in Monroe, Wisconsin, Doug grew up in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster High School. A private remembrance will be held by close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a local wildlife conservation charity in Doug's memory.
