Loyalty is the first thing that comes to mind as his wife thinks of her special friend. Gary S “Moe” Mosley, age 68 of rural Darlington passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Aug. 14, 1948 in Dodgeville the son of Stanley Laverne and Dorothy (Olson) Mosley. Gary graduated from Argyle High School in 1968. He was united in marriage to Mary Beckett on March 23, 1974 in Dodgeville.  Gary lived in the Darlington area his entire life.  He worked at FS in Darlington for a number of years, Ruf’s Farm Service in Fayette, Argyle Industries and most recently Southwest CAP doing residential weatherization.
Gary is survived by his wife Mary at home; his mother: Dorothy Mosley, Darlington; three children: Charity (Justin) Johnson of rural Mineral Point, Chad (Katie) Mosley of Dodgeville and Cory (Angie) Mosley of Browntown; six grandchildren: Pearl Johnson, Seth Mosley, Bryce Rolli, Riley, Aiden and Leah Mosley; one brother: Randy (Mary Guthrie) Mosley of rural Darlington; two sisters: Janet (Terry) Bergum of Monroe and Connie Weber of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his father; two grandchildren; father and mother in law: Kenneth (Darlene) Beckett and one sister in law: Victoria Goebel.
Gary, a believer in Jesus Christ attended Lafayette County Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends, stock car racing, watching football and his annual fishing trips to Hayward and fishing at Yellowstone Lake with his wife.  He was a dedicated member of the Fayette Sportsman Club and the Fayette Pitching Club where he was an avid horseshoe player. Gary also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting with both his gun and bow.
Funeral services for Gary will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lafayette County Christian Church (11560 Center Hill Rd, Darlington) with Pastor Mark Gilberts officiating.  Burial will be at the Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington.  A Visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will be Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the Lafayette County Christian Church.  The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gary’s name.
