Gene Ray Harris, 86, De Soto, died Saturday, June 12, 2015.
He was born born on January 1 1929, to Russell and Ruby Harris in Viola. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952. He married the love of his life, Shirley Lisney, in 1954. He was hired as a steamfitter in the Local 601 in 1954 and retired in 1991. He loved building can tractors, fishing, dancing, and carpentry.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Freeman Lutheran Church. Pastor Doug Anderson will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of servic.
