James L. Finley, 69 of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
Jim was born June 10, 1942, in Dane County, the son of Ruth (Haffele) Paulson and George Finley. He attended Argyle High School and was formerly married to Alice Sarbacker. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Jordan Lutheran Church, rural Browntown, with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Full obituary in the February 9, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.

Marilyn Jean Myers Ellis, 85, most recently of St. Cloud, MN passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A celebration of life for Marilyn will take place at First Lutheran Church in Hinckley, MN on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Marilyn asked that family and friends wear bright colors in remembrance of her love for flowers.  Burial will take place at the Lutheran Memorial Cemetery in Hinckley following the service, with a luncheon afterwards at the church.Marilyn loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed.  Our thanks to those who provided care and support in her last few weeks.
