James R. ‘Jim’ Backes, 64, of rural Cazenovia died tragically in a truck accident on Monday, July 23, 2018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg, with Father David Carrano officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, at Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg, where a Knights of Columbus rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Knights of Columbus - Monsignor Condon Chapter 3805 or the Reedsburg Food Pantry would be appreciated.
