Jody V. Schmitt, 46, Platteville, died on Friday Sept. 5, at his home.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Jody V. Schmitt Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.
