Joel R. Barnes, 90, of Columbia, South Carolina, died on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.

The memorial service for Mr. Barnes will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Extension, Columbia, S.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 11 o’clock.
