John “Jack” R. Teasdale, 84, of Pecatonica, Ill., died at 4:18 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.
Jack was born March 27, 1933 in Madison, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril and Hildred (Rickard) Teasdale.  Graduated from Darlington High School, Class of 1951 and then entered into the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.  He married Mary Lou Courtright in Laurel, Miss., on March 27, 1952.  Mary Lou died Jan. 9, 1997 and he then married Connie Houren Deppe in Pecatonica, Ill., on May 29, 1999.  He was employed as a lineman by REA in Darlington, for 30 years, then he and his wife bought Lincolnwood Resort in Burchwood, retiring in 1997.  He loved fishing, woodworking in his shop, gardening and his pets Greta, Lola and Tomas.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Great loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his wife Connie Teasdale; daughters: Weslyn (Gary) James, Laurel (Dave) Dvorak and Gwenn (Larry Atkinson; sons: Gregg (Jean) Teasdale and Ross (Beth) Teasdale; stepchildren Rick (Jennifer) Deppe, Carrie (Craig) Lund, Greg (Paula) Deppe, Sally Blassingham, Ted (Hilary) Deppe, and Beth (Mark) Schroeder; 34 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson, Jim Deppe and sons-in-law, John Blassingham and Mike McGowan.
Funeral ceremonies were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 in Centenary United Methodist Church, 226 West Church Street, Shullsburg, where Pastor Stanton Bockwoldt of Centenary United Methodist Church and Pastor Eddie Santiago of Benton United Methodist Church officiated.  A visitation was held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday.  Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg. McCorkle Funeral Home – Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W. Fifth Street, Pecatonica, Ill. assisted the family.
