Katherine “Kay” Stockwell, 73, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015.  

She was born April 27, 1942 to Raymond and Esther (Silbaugh) Sebranek. She was joined in marriage to Arthur “Al” Stockwell on June 10, 1961, at First Lutheran Church, LaCrosse. 

A true family woman, Kay was ever at her husband’s side at Al’s garage, and was the proudest mother and grandmother. She took pleasure in meeting people and socializing, going around to rummage sales, and loved picture taking. She also enjoyed registering deer during the hunting season.   

Kay is survived by her husband Arthur, children Kevin (Becky) of Hillsboro, Michael (Diane) of Hillsboro, and Lori (Brent) Schroeder of Holmen; seven grandchildren Cody, Jysse, Jacob, Max, Grace, Kyle Schroeder, and Kaitlyn Schroeder; her mother Esther of LaCrosse; two brothers Dennis Sebranek of LaCrosse and Terry Sebranek of LaCrosse; other relatives and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her father, and two children Debra Kay and Todd Allan. 

Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at 12 noon at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Hillsboro with Rev. Isaac Fleming officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m, at Picha Funeral Home, Hillsboro. For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
