Kristen (Kris) Patricia Howell, age 27, Soldiers Grove, passed away in an automobile accident on January 6, 2026. Kristen and her bandmates were travelling in preparation to record music for Dewclaw, a collaborative music project that Kris was so incredibly passionate about when the accident occurred. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore. Wear your favorite band merch, Kris would have loved that. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
