Lois Jewell Alton, age 89 of Linden, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her three daughters on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Gorgen-McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home in Dodgeville. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Linden United Methodist Church, the Iowa-Grant School Lunch Fund, Second Harvest Food Bank, or a charity of your choice.
