Marian E. Thorpe, 96, of Platteville, died on Monday, Jan. 7, at Gray’s Nursing Home, Platteville.  As per the families’ request, there will be no formal services.  The Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville is serving the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Judy Buss, born May 25, 1939 in the village of Belmont to Gilbert and Anna (Schult) Ludlum. She died May 25, 2025 in Southwest Health in Platteville, surrounded by family on her 86th birthday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 29, at noon at St. Philomena Catholic Church.  Fr. Bernie Rott will officiate.  Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at the Gorgen Funeral Home in Mineral Point on Wednesday, May 28 from 4 until 7 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 until 11:50 a.m. at the church.
