Nathan “Nate” Keener died Tuesday, April 26 of wounds suffered leading his unit in combat.

Funeral services with military honors were conducted in Kyiv, Ukraine, as Nathan had wished. Forever watching over a country and people he chose to protect. Additional memorials are placed in Odessa, Ukraine along the Black Sea and alongside his mother’s in the Benton United Methodists Cemetery located in Benton.
