Neva E. Johnson, age 88, of Darlington, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born June 22, 1925 in Rockford, Ill., the daughter of Stanley and Edna (Schliem) Johnson. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Fayette United Methodist Church, 11013 County Highway F in rural Darlington with Rev. Irv Case of Lamont United Methodist Church in rural Darlington, officiating. Burial was in West Wiota Cemetery in rural Gratiot. A visitation was held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from noon until the time of service at the church. Full obituary in the July 3, 2013 issue of the Republican Journal.
