Phyllis Benson, 89, passed away on March 11, 2026. Phyllis was born on April 4, 1936, in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, to Lawrence and Olga Everson. She graduated from Soldiers Grove High School and married the love of her life, James Benson.
In the early years of their marriage, Phyllis helped James run Benson’s Grocery Store in Soldiers Grove. She later worked in several secretarial positions and concluded her career as an administrator for the Green Lake County Veterans Association.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Soldiers Grove. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A burial will immediately follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Soldiers Grove.
