Richard “Dick” Byrne, 77 of Janesville, formerly of Shullsburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1934, in Hazel Green, the son of Vincent and Mary (Timmins) Byrne. Dick graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1952. He was united in marriage to Rose Mary Ryan on Nov. 10, 1956, in Shullsburg. A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 344 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg, with Rev. John Bosco Pudhota and Rev. Randy Timmerman of St. John Vianney Catholic Parish in Janesville concelebrating. Full obituary in the February 2, 2012 issue of the Republican Journal.
