FORMERLY OF POTOSI—Robert and Leora Shaw, formerly of Potosi passed away within five months of each other. Robert Shaw, age 97, died on Aug. 30, 2014. He was born on July 21, 1917 to George and Ida (Droxell) Shaw. Leora (Schmieder) Shaw, age 94, died on Jan. 27, 2015. She was born on April 9, 1920 to Ferdinand and Margaret (Brandt) Schmieder.
A celebration of their life will be held on April 25 at 11:15 a.m. at St. John of the Cross, 5005 S. Wolf Rd., Western Springs, Ill. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside, Ill., immediately after the mass.
