Robert Gerald Karnopp, 78, Lancaster and formerly of Prairie du Chien, died Monday, August 25, 2014, at the Orchard Manor Care Center in Lancaster.

He and his twin sister were born March 23, 1936, in Prairie du Chien, to Henry and Elizabeth (Henkel) Karnopp.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel with a private inurnment in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.

Military honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard and the Bagley American Legion.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 11 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Robert's grandsons.
