Ronald “Ronnie” “Roe” E. Colson, of Steuben, Wisconsin, passed away on June 21, 2025. He was born on December 24, 1938, in Seneca, Wisconsin, the youngest child of George and Estella (Taylor) Colson. Roe grew up with seven sisters and one brother. Faced with challenges, Roe defied all expectations. He lived 86 full years, showing those around him how to face adversity with determination, humor, and resilience.
His family extends heartfelt thanks to the many Steubenites, past and present, who were part of his life, and to the caring staff at Boscobel Care and Rehab and Emplify-Gundersen Boscobel Hospital for their compassion during his final days.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 1 - 4:00 p.m. at Boscobel Bowl and Banquet, Boscobel, WI, with a private burial to follow. Food will be provided during the celebration. Words of remembrance will be shared at 3 p.m., as we gather to reflect, share stories, and celebrate the many cherished memories of Roe. In honor of Roe, the family encourages guests to wear casual attire or their favorite Steuben, Ford, or racing apparel.
Kendall Funeral Services of Boscobel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials in Roe’s honor may be made to the Boscobel Rescue Squad, Boscobel Fire Department, Steuben First Responders, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
