Ronald (Ron) Jones of Valders entered heaven on January 10, 2026.  The first thing he did was ask the Lord, “How are you doing?” … “How is this place operated?” … “Is there anything I can do to help?” …  “Do you need a greeter?” …  “Are there more new ones coming?” …  “I know I ask a lot of questions but I’m Harvey Jones’ grandson and he asked questions too. Well, I shouldn’t blame Grandpa, but….”

Ron was born to Raymond and Rynjal (Reseland) Jones August 29, 1942 at home near Soldiers Grove, Crawford County, WI, the oldest of three sons.  He grew up on the family farm, became active in 4-H and FFA, holding offices in both. There began his love of the gentle Guernsey cattle; a love that remained throughout his life. 

A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 255 W. Roosevelt Street, with Rev. Dan Lyman officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Our Saviors Cemetery.
