Velma C. Beesecker, 97, of Lancaster passed away at home on Saturday, Oct. 28.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 from noon until 3 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster. A private family burial will be held in Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Velma C. Beesecker Memorial Fund has been established. Judy Buss, born May 25, 1939 in the village of Belmont to Gilbert and Anna (Schult) Ludlum. She died May 25, 2025 in Southwest Health in Platteville, surrounded by family on her 86th birthday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 29, at noon at St. Philomena Catholic Church.  Fr. Bernie Rott will officiate.  Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at the Gorgen Funeral Home in Mineral Point on Wednesday, May 28 from 4 until 7 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 until 11:50 a.m. at the church.
