Wendell Rice, 85, Platteville, passed away peacefully at home on July 20 while undergoing treatment for Glioblastoma multiforme of brain cancer.

Celebration of life with firefighter honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30 at the Melby Funeral Home and Crematory in Platteville. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation will be from 4–7 p.m. Friday, July 29 at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Platteville Volunteer Fire Department.
