Jacob Buss and Casey Weigel announce the birth of their daughter, Sydney Clare Buss on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 2:41 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
Sydney weighed five pounds, 12 ounces, and was 17.75 inches long.
Grandparents are Denny and Barb Buss of Titusville, Fla., Deb and Harley McWilliams of Platteville, and Mike and Buffy Weigel of Platteville.
Great-grandparents are Harold and Ruth Buss of Belmont, Mary Ellen and the late Bob Nelson of Viroqua, E.R. and Doris Clare of Platteville, the late Clarence and Jean Weigel of Platteville, and Don and Kay Hale of Beloit.
Sydney’s father is a sales associate at TriCom and her mother is an RN at Mercy Medical Center.

A daughter, Emery Jean Kenefick, was born at 1:38 a.m. on May 26, 2024, at The Richland Hospital to Austin and Whitney Kenefick. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21.5 inches long. She joins a sister, Harper, 3 years old. Grandparents are Mary and Todd Kenefick of Richland Center, Jeanna and Jerry Jones of Soldiers Grove, Cliff Copus and Mayann Merriman of Mount Zion. Great-grandparent is Dona Kenefick of Sun Prairie. The father is a grinder at Scot Industries and the mother is health unit clerk at Richland Hospital.
