On Sept. 17, Tristan Miles married his best friend, Ashley (Wente) Miles. The proud parents of the couple are Pat and Karla Stelpflug and the late Tim Miles, and Neil and Mary Wente. The bride’s dress was a corset top with silver sparkles with the bottom that was layered sparkly material.
The maid of honor, Katie Wilker, is a sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mary Nerison, friend of the bride, Brooke Wente, sister of the bride, Jenny Hermsen, friend of the bride, and Chelsie Dyson, friend of the bride. The girls were in beautiful purple and black dresses. Miniature bride was Scarlet Miles, niece of the groom. Scarlet was in a beautiful, sparkly white dress.
The best man was Derek Miles, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jon Wilker, brother-in-law of the bride, Pat Schwab, Aaron Bonert and Bryan Stover, all friends of the groom.
The couple was wed at Sunset Ridge Winery/Vineyard outside of Dubuque on Hwy. 51. The vineyard was a gorgeous setting for the wedding. It includes a rock patio used for the altar, it had bloomed flowers and the grape vines all around. It was magical.
The reception followed at the winery that was a covered rock patio. A DJ played during supper and the dance. The couple was surrounded by family and friends.
Ashley grew up on a farm outside of Dyserville. She works at Mercy Hospital in the janitorial department. Tristan grew up outside of Potosi. He works for Service Master as a technician. They bought a house in Dubuque where they reside. They spent the weekend after the wedding in New Glarus and will go on a honeymoon in the spring out west.
